Product Description

Professional chefs have long sung the praises of the KitchenAid stand mixer. Now, KitchenAid has designed a product specifically for the home baker with this nine-speed hand mixer. Its digital display shows the selected speed, providing precision control, while an electronic sensor works with the powerful yet lightweight motor to maintain that speed in any mixture, heavy to light. Designed with nonclogging air vents, the mixer cleans easily due to smooth, sleek surfaces that have no seams or grooves to trap ingredients. The mixer comes with traditional beaters, a pro whisk attachment for fluffier mixes, and a one-year warranty. --Linda Dahlstrom

This is a truly nice product in every way! These beaters won't rust and are easy to clean. It's comfortable to hold. It's not too heavy but yet is built solid. It mixes without making much noise. Splatters quickly wipe clean off the mixer. Best of all, you're really getting your money's worth!

I'm glad to see after placing my review of this product that its price only went up $10 instead of $80 like the other product I wrote a review on.
Wow! Kitchen Aid Rocks!

I have desperately wanted to buy a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for forever but I can't afford it so I bought this one when my GE hand mixer died. My first impression after using to make my favorite sugar cookies is wow! This mixer is so quiet compared to my old one and I had absolutely no spatters while mixing my dough (I usually have flour everywhere). Plus, I never once had to scrape the sides of my bowl while mixing. Whenever I used my old mixer, I was always afraid that it was going to come apart while I was using it (it always seemed to be working so hard), but not this mixer. It just chugged away like nothing at all. I am so glad that I went ahead and spent the extra bit of money to buy this mixer. I can't wait to try it out on so many other things! Buy this mixer. You won't be sorry.
Great Mixer. Great Deal

Having researched hand mixers I expected that this KitchenAid would be good, and it is. However, I did not expect to like the digital display as much as I do, since I had lived without one until now, and everything mixed up fine. However, it is nice to know the exact speed, and I find myself glancing at the digital display more than I expected to do. An unpredicted advantage of the digital display is that my teen-aged son thinks it's so cool that he has taken over potato mashing completely.

I have a KitchenAid stand mixer for heavy mixing such as cookie dough and cakes, but I have mashed potatoes, whipped cream and egg whites and made Seven Minute Frosting with this mixer and they've all been excellent. I think that the beaters whip more air as egg whites seemed to have more volume. The soft-start feature does keep ingredients in the bowl, not on the counter, and the mixer is lightweight and easy to use and clean.

Finally, I got a great deal! With Amazon's free shipping and special price I bought this 9-speed, top-of-the-line KitchenAid for less ($38) than any other mixer, all of which had fewer features, including those on sale locally, even at WalMart and Sam's, and online at eBay.
Replaced Cuisinart with Kitchenaid

My 80 yr. old mother couldn't use her new Cuisinart mixer so I ordered her the Kitchenaid KHM900ER. She loves how the low speed is low, and it has plenty of power to mix a double batch of cookies. It is light weight and comfortable for her to hold. She loves it!
Great Hand Mixer

I shopped for this mixer in retail stores near me. The price offered by Amazon beat the price of the KitchenAid KHM900ER 9-Speed Hand-Mixer, Empire Red in every store. For many years, I had a Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer which I really liked, but I stripped the gears by going from Low to High without stopping between speeds. The digital speed control on this mixer makes it impossible to do this. The mixer is sturdy and strong for most tasks except extreemly stiff dough. For that you need to use the Kitchen Aid Stand mixer. I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone.
