A Staple of the Kitchen

I own this KitchenAid model, and it is the second KA mixer I have owned. This model does a good job, and was a great replacement to my older model K45 of 30+ years. To me, the splash shield is indispensible for adding liquids, which tend to splash out, even at lower speeds. I would never be without my KitchenAid mixer, and it has helped out with cookie dough, decorator cake frostings, breads, quick breads, cakes, and anything else that needs a thorough mixing. The planetary action cannot be beat for efficiency.
Good job so far

Looks to be a heavy duty machine. Does a good job on stiff bread dough and mixing 32 degree natural peanut butter (probably not recommended). Arrived somewhat banged up but blemishes were cosmetic only. So far it's been great at everything I've used it for. I decided to skip the add ons after reading reviews and did get the plastic filler shield which I found I just didn't need.
Even if you don't cook/bake this is worth the money

Hello everyone, I have owned mine for about two years. To start with I didn't do much baking but when i did ( making Brownies or cakes) this was worth having and the money. Clean up is as easy as running hot water over it. Recently I have started baking breads and I have heard taht this model wasn't good for mixing dough. I have to totatlly disagree. This thing will need a 1.5 to 3 lb loaf from 5-30 minutes with easy. I am now making bread loafs from rustic, bagguettes, sourdoughs, and others, two to three times a week because of the ease of this machine. What use to take 30 minutes of hand kneading now takes 6 minutes on high spead to make perfect ciabatta bread.
The Best Mixer Ever!!!

I have had this Kitchen Aid model for about a year now and it is simply amazing! I use it for mixing everything...baking, pizza dough, bread dough, home-made mash pototoes, lots of scrambled eggs at once and so much more. The pouring shield is like the best ever when adding liquids or like for doing the scramble eggs. Mine stays on my kitchen couter top as it is used most everyday. The controls and features are so simple that my niece helps out alot and it is like a "fun-time" for her to use it and help out! The ease of the different speeds and attachments makes it great and the clean up is super easy and fast...I would suggest it for any home!
A great addition to a growing kitchen

This KA was my first stand mixer. This one closely resembles my grandmother's white KA Classic from the 50s. I really love my KA mixer. I use it for simple cookie doughs, and buttercream frostings, but I have also used this machine to make meatloaf. I use it extensively to make marshmallow fondant, which as you can imagine, is a very stiff dough at times throughout the mixing process. I have owned it for about six months, use it several times a month and I have never had an issue with it.
It is a true staple in my kitchen, and I cant imagine baking/cooking without it. |
